My recent reading of your novel 'Pacific Glory' left me with an urge to learn more. I was a crew member of the USS Halford DD480 from commisioning in early '43 to Ominato, Honshu Aug. '45, S2c to Y1c back to civilian Oct.'45. Our 'moments' in the Pacific keep bringing back memories such as you depict in your novel.
- C.P.L. 10-26-2011 10/11

I just finished Pacific Glory and just wanted to let you know that I found it to be one of the best novels I have ever read. You did a fantastic job with this one. Keep up the good work.
- J.B. 10-26-2011 10/11

I have enjoyed all of your books. I listen to them on CD's and iPod. I liked the way you dealt with Pacific Glory and the other Navy stories, as well. I was on the U.S.S. Philippine Sea in the late 50's in an antisubmarine squadron. and appreciate the carrier action. I was wondering if you are going to bring back Cam Richter, he is a good character.
- T.R. 10-22-2011 10/11

I just wanted to say that I've read all of your books and think Pacific Glory is the best. Please write more based on your military experience.
Thank you.
- D.P.C. 10-10-2011 10/11

Pacific Glory is the most enjoyable of the ten books of yours I have read. Considering your personal experiences in the Pacific combined with WWII veterans' stories must have made such a color pallet for Pacific Glory. I wonder why you waited so long to write this story!
My father, who is now 89, was among the sailors cleaning up around the Phillipine islands. This added to the richness and pleasure of reading your story.
Thanks for the 'memories'!
- J.P.S. 10-10-2011 10/11

CAPT. Deutermann,
I just had the pleasure of finishing your latest book, Pacific Glory, and found it was a great read. It was often hard to put down and ranks right up there with the likes of other great novels, such as Vice Admiral William P. Mack's WWII destroyer series. I look forward to reading your next novel and hope the USNI includes this novel as one of their recommended books to others.
- B.W. 10-10-2011 10/11

I am a Navy veteran, female, no sea duty, but am retired air traffic controller
of 31 years with Navy training. I really enjoy Mr. Deutermanns books and
particularly enjoyed his latest Pacific Glory.
- M.G. 10-8-2011 10/11

I just finished reading "Nightwalkers". I could hardly bear to put it down. Do you have a sequel to it? This is the first book I have read written by you and will surely read many more. Thank you for a great read!
- C.R. 10-8-2011 10/11

Just inhaled Pacific Glory. As an old 'tin can sailor' I related to the story in so many ways. I remember life aboard the Wadleigh DD698 and the Rooks DD804.
Thanks for the memories and one hell of a great story.
- A.H. 10-8-2011 10/11

I had just finished The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors when I discovered Pacific Glory (narrated by Dick Hill in the audio version). Thank you for a well-told story. Your characters brought the tale to life. My father was XO on a destroyer during the Korean War. One of my earliest memories is visiting the Ward Room on his ship. Your book brought all of that back to me. By the way, Dick Hill does you justice. He can narrate!
- M.R. 10-8-2011 10/11

Mr Deutermann, Recently borrowed your novel Pacific Glory from the library and am enjoying it immensely. My Uncle told me stories about his exploits aboard the USS WASP in the Solomons, and of the subsequent torpedoing of the ship and the loss of his shipmates. This convinced me to go into the "safer" branch - USMC. Before we lost him three years ago, he handed me an large brown envelope with newspaper clippings from the sinking, as well as clippings from his home town paper as he was wounded in the sinking. Your novel brings home his experiences in ways I never imagined. He was and is a Hero to me. Thank you for documenting this time in our Country's evolution.
- D.M. 10-7-2011 10/11

Pacific Glory brought tears to my eyes at the end! Have really enjoyed all your books, and especially "Train Man". Thank you for so much reading pleasure.
- R.E. 10-4-2011 10/11

Mr Deutermann, I have just finished Pacific Glory and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. My Dad, Richard W. Roby, DFC, was one of the pilots from the Gambier Bay, and like you the Battle of Leyte Gulf has always been a part of my life. My Dad is quoted in Jim Hornfischer's book and was also interviewed for North's series and Dogfights so his story is well known.
- J.R.L. 10-3-2011 10/11

Dear Mr. Deutermann, I just finished Pacific Glory and it was one of the most interesting and entertaining books I have read in quite some time. I particularly enjoyed the description of Midway as my great uncle, Murr Arnold, was Air Officer on the Yorktown at that time. As a youngster, I developed an interest in naval history by reading newspaper clippings my mother had saved about his experience at Midway… As this was the first of your books I have read, I look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
- T.N. 10-1-2011 10/11

Captain Deutermann, SIR! Having read every one of your novels, beginning with Darkside, I can unequivocally state that your last one, Pacific Glory is, IMO, the very best one to date. Instead of fiction, it seemed to me to be a true story and I was pulled in from the very first page until the last. An absolute, fantastic, entertaining book! Thank you, sir.
- P.G. 5-24-11 05/11

Being an avid reader of fiction I am regularly asked who my favorite authors are. P.T.Deutermann has headed a short list(I'm stingy with praise) since my first exposure with "Edge of Honor". Not ten minutes ago I finished "Pacific Glory" and I immediately wanted to share my thoughts. As usual, the characters are vivid and easy to understand, the scenes are High Def, the flow and pace are smooth as silk. But the true star of "Glory" is the brutal reality that our dads suffered through made to come alive 65 years later with warmth and respect. Thank you.
- H.D.W. 5-23-11 05/11

I just finished Pacific Glory. A fantastic read and very different than most of what you have written in the past. I've given it 5 stars on Amazon.com. I sincerely hope that you get the book sales you deserve for it. Can't wait to see what's next.
- C.P. 5-18-11 05/11

You've done it again - totally destroyed my chances of finding another good author until you produce your next. Read Pacific Glory till wife gave me hell just before 0400 hrs. I'm a retired shipmaster (ex British RFA) and now still involved in marine education in Western Canada. Look forward to yr next but don't take too long - I'm 82!
- J.E.H. 5-18-11 05/11

While I have a tendency to avoid historical military fiction (I'm a little uncomfortable with the melding of fact and fiction when I can't tell which is which), I knew that I would read Pacific Glory just because you wrote it. You did a great job - I found it to be a great read and very entertaining. I also appreciated the clarifications of fact that you included in the afterward - I thought that it was an indication of an author who has thoroughly researched his subject.
As always, I look forward to your next project.
- B.M. 5-16-11 05/11

Just finished Pacific Glory and want to say what an outstanding book it is.
Also, as a pure luck of the draw I had just finished James D. Hornfischer's Neptune’s Inferno: The U.S. Navy at Guadalcanal. This made a great combo.I have read Naval History my whole life and thanks to people like
you and Mr. Hornfischer I am still learning.
- P.F. 5-15-11 05/11

I just finished "Pacific Glory." It may be your best novel ever, and it's a great tribute to those who served in the Pacific during WWII.
It may be the best book I've ever read. It's very inspirational and very moving, especially the last part of the story. It makes me proud to be an American.
- D.D. 5-14-11 05/11

Comment: Just finished Pacific Glory, what a great read!!! Thank You!
- W.A. 5-14-11 05/11

Have read and enjoyed most of your books. Pacific Glory, however, stands out as the best. Having recently retired from the Navy (though I spent most of my career with the Marines) there were many passages that truly gripped me. Having seen the elephant on my tours in Iraq I can see you know of what you speak. Well done!
- D.S. 5-14-11 05/11

Just completed Pacific Glory and, as a former tin can sailor, would like to thank you for writing what I consider one of the best naval action stories I have read.
- B.C. 5-13-11 05/11

This is a brief "Thank You" for writing this novel. I have read most of your books and look forward to each new release. Not knowing of the specific story line, I was very surprised when the opening involved the Battle of Savo Island. My father, E.D. Miller, a Chief radioman, was a survivor of the cruiser Quincy. He was promoted to LTJG and finally LT and was given command of a small vessel (LSMR). Your telling of the Pacific conflict is as if you were a part of it.
Thanks very much for this.
- G.M. 5-13-11 05/11

Just finished reading Pacific Glory. It is without a doubt your best book--I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I know the history of the Battle off Samar well. It was fun to read how you wove your story around the exploits USS Johnston as well as bringing in the survival story of Samuel B. Roberts. I have previously read Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailor and Sea of Thunder. You captured all the action in a terrific story.
- G.C. 5-6-11 05/11

Capt Deutermann --
Just finished reading Pacific Glory. Hesitate to say I "enjoyed" it because of the mayhem and destruction, but it certainly brought back memories. I was a WAVE Flight Orderly with NATS, and flew from Moffett to HNL in 1946-47. Your description of the Nurses' Quarters was exactly as I remembered it - there were no WAVES stationed there by then, and on turnarounds, we were housed in their quarters. Also had another memory reading about ADM Nimitz. While I was stationed in D.C. earlier, I very nearly collided with him when I wasn't paying attention to who was walking back along the bottom of the stairway. Love to read your books.
- B.B.S. 4-12-11 04/11

I have just finished reading "Pacific Glory," and I simply want to express my thanks to you. It is a wonderful book--interesting, exciting, and very moving at times. I don't know if I have read all your novels (although I believe I have), but I have certainly read all the naval and Dan Lenson books, all the way back to "Scorpion in the Sea." Terrific stuff. I spent a few years in the Navy back in the mid-fifties, and remember that time with great fondness. Your Navy books often evoke very pleasant memories for me. Again--Thanks!
- J.B. 4-14-11 04/11

Sir, I just finished reading Pacific Glory. I would like to commend you for covering a topic near and dear to my heart, the Navy and especially the Destroyer Navy. I served aboard the USS Bigelow DD-942 from 73-76. Unlike our brown shoe brothers, tin can sailors receive little in the form of recognition, unless we're fishing our aviator brothers out of the water, providing NGFS to troops ashore, or keeping those pesky bubble-heads at bay. Not much newsworthy in most cases but we have earned a couple of drinks at the bar from those we helped out. Thanks for a tremendous job of covering an aspect of the Navy that most writers miss or leave well enough alone, and thank you for doing such a fine job of covering the sea-borne battle for the Philippines. Excellent reading!
- D.C. 4-14-11 04/11

Just finished Pacific Glory and have read all your previous books. This is your best yet: powerful ending, interesting characters. Blending history with fiction is tricky but you pulled it off as did DeMille with "Night Fall" and Wouk's "Winds of War"/"War and Remembrance". You're in good company, keep it up.
- D.W. 4-14-11 04/11

Just finished Pacific and I'm interested in seeing the photos of the various ships of the story - destroyers, cruisers, Taffys, and if possible the Japanese battleship, Yamato. I enjoyed the book and it filled in a piece of history for me. Thank you.
Thank you.
- M.M. 4-16-11 04/11

Just want to say congrats for all the splash on Amazon for Pacific Glory... they must expect it to be a best seller. From what I see , it looks like a great read... I'll pick up a copy first chance I get.
Best regards.
- M.S. 4-6-11 04/11

I just finished Pacific Glory—with tears at the MOH scene. Through your writing you reminded me of what’s best about our navy and naval service, and of what your dad and mine and their comrades gave us, at the cost of their lives and limbs and in some cases, their souls… So, great book, compelling read and a tribute to people who truly earned it! I’ll be sending Glory and Edge of Honor your way shortly.
- D.N. 4-5-11 04/11

I just finished reading Pacific Glory and I think that it is by far your best effort to date. I have enjoyed all of your books but this one is truly outstanding. Very few authors have the ability to cause me to be laughing out loud one moment, and tearing up shortly thereafter, but this story did.
Thank you,
- B.K. 4-4-11 04/11

I have just finished "Pacific Glory." I want to take this opportunity to thank you for a fine story that is well told. I have been reading your works from Scorpion to now. This is the first wherein I sense you telling a story out of love - you love the small ships and the men who sail them. Indeed, they are worthy of our love and respect.
- B.P 3-30-11 04/11

Just finished "Pacific Glory" - great read.
Have been waiting for this new book having read the rest of yours. I was looking forward to another in the "Richter" series - but this was better. Great story and could feel your connection to this time and people who were really there. My Dad and Uncle were both Marines in this theater during WWII - this gave me even more respect for what they did than I already had.
- B.R. 3-29-11 04/11

Skipper, I am 1/2 way thru PACIFIC GLORY and I am having a hard time putting it down. I can't wait to finish the book. This is by far the best book of the NAVY in WWII that I have seen. As a NAVY Viet Nam combat veteran (LST Sailor) I thank you for you service. "WE DID OUR JOBS AND WE DID THEM WELL" Maybe Viet Nam will be next ?
- G.B. 3-22-11 03/11

I just finished Pacific Glory and wanted to thank you for the story. My dad served aboard the Saratoga but talked very little about his experiences. I have enjoyed all of your books, but have long hoped that you would return to the sea. I hope you will continue in this arena, and might I be so bold as to suggest a story situated during the War for Independence?
Again, Thank You
- L.W. 3-21-11 03/11

Captain Deutermann,
I wanted to write and say how much I enjoy your books. I marvel at your completion of one successful career and then starting a second one. I have read each of your books and look forward to each new one. I just finished Pacific Glory. It was outstanding. I literally couldn't put it down. It was exciting, authentic and emotional. Thank you.
- W.N. 3-20-11 03/11

I just finished Pacific Glory!
Thank you for such a wonderful story.
- L.R. 3-20-11 03/11

Your recent book Pacific Glory was a well done and very enjoyable. They should use it as a enticing read for History at the Naval Academy. Well Done!
- S.B. 3-19-11 03/11

I got Pacific Glory Tuesday and finished it last night. Thank you for another wonderful read. WWII was my father's war, I never got a chance to talk with him much about it but you have shown me that those men and women were heroes and for that I thank you as well.
- C.D. 3-17-11 03/11

Hello Mr. Deutermann. I have read two of your novels, "Cat Dancers" & "Spider Mountain", and I loved them both. You are a very talented writer. I was wondering if you have any plans in the future to delve more into the Cherokee Reservation. I know you have mentioned my home in a couple of your books.
- M.T. Jan 2011 01/11

Love your books!! Especially like the "Frick & Frack" ones! Keep on writing.
- T.W. Dec 2010 01/11

I stumbled across one of your books by accident, and you instantly acquired an avid fan. I have read all but two of your books, and absolutely loved "Moonpool". I wish you could write faster without affecting the quality. Thank you for hours of entertainment.
- C.B. Dec 2010 01/11

We just started your audio books Cam Richter books are great please keep doing them, we drive over the road and listen to books all the time, We are looking fwd to listing to all your books . w e have listened to two so far. my brother and i look fwd to more.
- T.P. Dec 2010 01/11

Haven't spoken with you in a while. When is your next book coming out? Looking forward to it.
- G.B. Nov 2010 01/11

I wanted to tell you how much I love your books. Especially the ones with Frick and Frack and now Kitty. I have talked my sister into reading them now also. I look forward to your next novel with Cam and the dogs.
- M.A. Nov 2010 01/11

Please, write me a new Cameron Richter novel. I love the character you have created and I am eagerly awaiting his next adventures.
- R.V. Nov 2010 01/11

Just a word of thanks for all the enjoyment I've received from your books over the years. As much as I love the Cam Richter series, I really hope you can find the time to write another book featuring Edwin Kreiss, perhaps even a prequel to 'Hunting Season'.
- N.W. Nov 2010 01/11

I just finished reading "Nightwalkers." I really liked it Perhaps your best yet. When ever I'm reading one of your novels I must keep the dictionary beside me. Your sentence structure is very good. Here are a few examples of your use of words that sent me to Websters’: High dudgeon; antimacassars; worthy (as in a trusted servant); lintel; parlous; atavistic, and finally, omerta with the accent over the a. I had to go on line to learn the word means code of silence. Well done, on your part. I look forward to the next book.
- J.G. Nov 2010 01/11

I would like to be notified of new releases. My husband, my father, and I all love the Cam Richter novels (must be the dogs!) and we're now starting on the others.
- S.L. Nov 2010 01/11

Having been a sci-fi reader nearly all my life (now 82) I've steered away from other forms of fiction but having just discovered "Nightwalkers" & "Train Man" I shall get our local municipal library to obtain more of your novels as I enjoyed them both immensely. Keep up the good work !!! A small comment from "down under" many novels would be improved with the inclusion of a map or maps of the areas, scenarios, etc.
- K.W. (Australia) Oct 2010 01/11

Thoroughly enjoy your books. Have collected all of them in paperback and am looking forward to the next one. I am a retired U. S. Navy Master Chief, so have especially enjoyed the Navy oriented books. Thanks for many hours of reading pleasure.
- J.B. Oct. 2010 01/11

I am almost finished Nightwalkers and have enjoyed the previous 3. I particularly enjoy your 'dog speak' and, as I love dogs, was dismayed to hear about Frack's injury. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.
- B.F. Oct. 2010 01/11

Just heard about your book On the edge of Honor form my father. Over the years I've tried to find accounts of the Dong Hoi incident on April 19, 1972. There doesn't seem to be much out there of any great detail. As an OS2, I was the air tracking supervisor on the Sterett at the time. I look forward to reading it and your other novels.
- G.M. Oct 2010 01/11

I just finished your Cam Richter series and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I hope there is more Cam in the future. Thank you for providing such an entertaining read.
- F.J. Oct. 2010 01/11

As a first time reader, I just finished your first novel, 'Scorpion in the Sea'. What a great read! But I was most impressed with your foresight as I see the story published in 1992 as a pre-cursor to the possibility/probability of the terrorist attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon on 9/11. You are very insightful. Wish we had paid more attention to your preview of things to come. I intend to read the rest of your many novels now that I have discovered you.
- J.D. 3-10-10 05/10

Can't wait for your next book to come out!
- R.C. 3-10-10 05/10

I've just read The Edge of Honor. GREAT BOOK. question is: Are you doing a sequel?? Seems to me the foundation is set for at least ONE!!!!
- W.B. 3-24-10 05/10

Terrific set of books. I served on a DDG in the 60s and thought your book on 'sweepers' dealt with those hardy deck apes who maintained the outside deck... Your novels enlightened me about their use by Christians In Action. Keep up the good work.
- M.S. 3-26-10 05/10

I just finished Nightwalkers, and hope you will write more books in this series. You create such marvelous word pictures! I do hope at least some of your books will be made into movies. Thank you for your military service! You are having quite a career! As a former Crimes Against Persons detective, I have so resonated with all the 'police' aspects of your novels. Well, I'm off to read Darkside (as an mp3 download!), and can hardly wait to experience your other novels.
- N.H. 4-8-10 05/10

I published a book of fiction recently about the shooting down of Korean Airlines FT 007 off Sakhalin Island by the Soviets in 1983. I'm told that I stole your title - THE ZERO OPTION. Sorry about that. I don't think our books cross over on any other points. Just to make sure, I'll pick up a copy of your book of the same name.
Anyway, all the best.
- D.R. 4-1-4-10 05/10

Hello From Butte Montana. I have been an avid reader of your books. I found an advertisement in a book and it said about you being in the navy. I was too so I picked up one of your books and kept reading them until I read them all and watch for new ones as they came out. Thanks, I look forward to more of your books. If it is possible to be notified as they come out I'd appreciate it. THANK YOU.
- L.W. 4-15-10 05/10

I retired from the railroad Oct. 07 after 41 years. I worked for the IC railroad in Vicksburg, Miss for 5 years. A friend knew this and gave me 'Trainman' to read. It is a great book and I could picture all of the areas used in the book around Vxb. So far I have read 6 of your books and the other six are ordered. Keep up the great work. By the way, I only read western paperbacks until Trainman got me hooked on your books.
- B.L. 4-22-10 05/10

I have been hooked on your novels since I read Scorpion of the Sea many years ago. As a retired Air Force officer, I don't have problems with the acronyms.
Your writing is deft and concise, and the characters are well-developed. I just finished Zero Option -- a real page-turner. I suspect your career as a writer may have brought you greater joy than a Navy career, and certainly better remuneration. Keep up the good work!
- J.S. 5-2-10 05/10

Enjoyed ALL your books! Maybe its time to write one about the swift boats in VN. I was Army Security Agency, Danang, 1961-63. Please keep writing, and thanks.
- M.Z. 5-7-10 05/10

Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed TRAINMAN.
I kinda thought you must be an old military man because you knew exactly how an army colonel talks (profanity). Also want to thank you for the service provided to us old Infantry men on the ground in Viet Nam by the U.S.Navy. Thanks again for such an entertaining book.
- B.B. 5-7-10 05/10

Hello Mr. Deutermann. I have read two of your novels, 'Cat Dancers' & 'Spider Mountain', and i loved them both. you are a very talented writer. I was wondering if you have any plans in the future to delve more into the Cherokee Reservation. I know you have mentioned my home in a couple of your books.
As you know we have a rich history & culture that a writer of your ability could make one heck of novel involving Cam & his shepherds.
- M.T. 5-4-10 05/10

I love your CAM RICHTER stories. I have read all and can't wait for the next. It's nice to have a hero who can make mistakes as well as have a tough & soft side. The dogs are great. The different "side kicks" are interesting too. Keep up the good work
- D.H. 08-09 9/09

Captain Deutermann, I've enjoyed all of your books, but I hope that you can someday return to sea and write about life aboard a Navy ship. I think the "Edge of Honor" is as close to the life we lived in those days as any fiction I've read. Some of the scene of long watches in the CIC as described in the book took me back to long (and sometimes very confusing) watches aboard my ship. My ship even had some critical people (QM gang) busted for drug use, and we had to operate without them (and do our own navigation on the bridge) for some time, very similar to the events on the Hood in your book. I understand that there may be a limited audience for that type of setting, but I still hope you can get back to it someday. I eagerly buy your books as soon as they become available and hope that you will keep writing.
- R.C. (Captain, USNR Ret.) 09-09 9/09

I've finished Nightwalkers and was just as thrilled with it as with all of your other books. I'm assuming that after 4 books you are done with Cam Richter. His interaction with his dogs was really revealing as to his character. I'm also assuming that you have Shepherds as I too am a dog lover and you've perfectly detailed their interactions with the main character. Keep up the good work!
- J.S. 09-09 9/09

Recently discovered your books in our library, and you've been a pleasant discovery! ‘Moonpool’ had a super ending, and ‘Trainman’ was enthralling because so many of the places (St. Louis, MO, Venice, IL, Memphis, TN) were familiar to me. Although from St. Louis City (We make a great distinction, since the City is not part of St. Louis County.), I now live in rural Jefferson County, MO, just south of Festus. In the beginning of Chapter 15 of ‘Trainman,’ you have a meeting between your characters and the Jefferson County Sheriff. You refer to him as being the sheriff ‘in this county of large cotton farms.’ There is no cotton grown in Jefferson County, MO. We're too far north. Cotton is grown in the Bootheel. We tend toward cattle and the hay, etc. to feed them. Please excuse this comment. As a retired teacher, I couldn't help it! LOL
- S.H. 08-09 9/09

Read NIGHTWALKERS this summer, loved it. Loved the Civil War theme. I'm now just starting SPIDER MOUNTAIN, after that it will be DARKSIDE. GLORY looks promising...but why not a Civil War book? A southern colonel at Gettysburg finds union battle plans, a confederate general at Appomattox tries to stall the surrender etc., etc.,
- J.L. 09-09 9/09

I'm a retired USN Chief Petty Officer, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy when you entered the Academy. I am your age and read a lot. I only discovered you when I read Cat Dancers. You hooked me with Cam Richter and his dogs. Spider Mountain was excellent, but The Moonpool was absolutely scary. You are my new favorite author, replacing Dean Koontz.
- 9/09

Just a short note, I'm reading Spider Mountain and it's a fantastic story. Now I have to get all your novels and read them. Some authors’ books I never let go, yours is on this list. Keep up the great work.
- 9/09

Found 'Spider Mountain' and once I started reading can not put the book down .I plan on reading all of your books and know I will enjoy every one of them. I have told all of my friends about your books as I want them to enjoy them as much as I am.
- 9/09

I recently read your book, 'Scorpion in the Sea'. It was given to me by a retired fire control master chief petty officer. It is hard for me to express how much I was impressed with your book. The detail of ASW warfare as well as the detail of the Mayport / Beaches area was incredible. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down. Thank you for writing such a wonderful book that really nails the Navy of the late 70's. The mystery of the story line was captivating. I loved it.
- B.H. 9-09 9/09

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your books. Have read just about all of them, always drag out reading the endings because I don't want them to be over. You have a patient way of drawing us into the stories and leave us with a very complete and satisfying reading experience. Can't wait for the next book.
- 9/09

My husband, John, and I 'found' you about 3 months ago and we have been reading your books nonstop since. I became depressed today when I realized that I had finished all of your books. So hurry, Mr. Deutermann, and finish GLORY! You'll always have two fans that can't wait for your next book.
- MM 9-09 9/09

Dear Capt. Deutermann: I've now read about five of your books. What can I say? They're fantastic. I just finished 'the Firefly' and was impressed with the complexity of the story line. Will Swamp Morgan be in any other books? I really hope that some smart person in Hollywood makes a movie out of one or more of your stories.

I want to thank you for your intriguing and exciting novels. I picked up Cat Dancers because of the title and I was hooked! I'm reading my 4th one now
(Hunting Season) and frequently laughing out loud. Thank you again and please keep them coming.

I just finished 'Nightwalkers' and loved it, so did my wife. The only issue with your books is that it is impossible to stretch them out over a longer period of time. They Must be gobbled right up. More people need to try your books. I have thoroughly enjoyed them all.

Dear Mr. Deutermann - First let me say that I enjoy your books a lot. A retired navy captain (Airedale) that I provided transition flight training for mentioned your name when I was extolling the virtues of James Huston. From your first book, I was completely hooked. You have a very patient and systematic way of spinning a yarn, so to speak, and you're a wonderful wordsmith. Please keep up the good work.

Great reading - Nightwalkers, finished it in two days. Very descriptive, which I enjoy. Now what is Cam going to do with 5 dogs?? Will be early awaiting the next adventure ... So very glad you have a second career in writing. Thoroughly enjoyed everything I have read from you. Nothing else gets done when I start one of your books. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoy your books. I just spent two days and a sleepless night reading Nightwalkers. A great yarn, one I couldn't put down. I looked forward to this one, and I really look forward to the next.

Mr. Deutermann, thank you for many hours of reading pleasure.
I wander off to the glitz and glamour of the 'flavor of the month' author, who inevitably seems to hit the sophomore slump and I need to look elsewhere for something to read. Yours books keep me wanting to turn the page and they end with a flourish that makes me wish it was a little longer. I've appreciated good storytelling since I was young and my shelves were lined with Burroughs, Wells, Heinlein, and Tolkien; you, sir, tell a good story.

Just finished Nightwalkers and once more, you went above and beyond. Very taut storyline, colorful characters and it's sad your books will never make it to the big screen because Hollywood is too busy doing remakes of remakes.

Hello Mr. Deutermann. I have read two of your novels, 'Cat Dancers' & 'Spider Mountain', and I loved them both. You are a very talented writer.

Captain, Just love all your books! Write faster, please. I think the amount of research you do for each book is amazing, expecially Moonpool. Speaking of which, I don't think I will ever look at a bottle of water the same way again ... Thanks so much for all the pleasure your books have given me.
- P.M. 2-20-09 04/09

I just finished reading Spider Mountain and Moonpool. I enjoyed them both. I live in Asheville so I can relate to your descriptions of the "mountain people" in the first book. Thanks and look forward to reading more of novels.

Scorpion in the Sea is a fantastic book. I could not put it down 'till I finished it! I admit I had not heard of you earlier until a sailing friend loaned me the book. I just finished reading it. I do not have the benefit of any armed forces or naval experience, however your book is very well written and explains naval procedures, clearly! The characters are realistic, and the situations certainly plausible! I will now be searching for more of your books at the stores! A great book! Thanks again,

My wife and I have been reading your novels. They are just terrific and everyone to whom I have given a copy has also loved them. They are especially fun because they cover many of the places we have lived, worked or visited.
- T.R. 3-2-09 04/09

I just want to thank you for all your good stories (novels) you have written. I have read or should say listened to most of your novels. Your stories make for enjoyable listening. Right now I am reading (listening) to your book "Sweepers". Once again I say thank you and I am looking forward to your latest book, Moonpool.
- J.R.G. 3-16-09 04/09

Just finished The Moonpool and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The irony of the water bottle at the end was great. I will be looking to catch up on your other novels.
- F.M. 3-19-09 04/09

I just finished Darkside & Cat Dancers, both in about a week. I have read most of your books and have found all of them to be excellent reading. I enjoyed your character Cam Richter, and am glad to see you added him to a few more books.
- C.S. 3-30-09 04/09

I just finished The Moonpool. I'm hooked. I'm a Cam Richter junkie.
- K.B. 4-1-09 04/09

I started with Cat Dancers, then Spider Mountain. I liked the first two so much I just ordered all the others from Amazon. Thanks for the enjoyment!
- Tom B. 6-8-08 06/08

I just wanted to commend you on The Moonpool. I've just finished
reading it and I thoroughly enjoyed it, although that whole snake thing had me totally freaked out. Also, you really had me worried about the mutts. It was getting closer and closer to the end and there still was no sign of them! Very naughty of you.
- Dona S. 6-4-08 06/08

I just finished your latest and I believe your greatest book! I am so glad you have seen fit to write another "Cam Richter" novel. I hope someone buys the movie rights and gets it done for the silver screen. Your novels all have great characters, and I would love to see you explore the possibility of bringing some of them back in either prequels or sequels to existing books. Most of all, I am looking forward to "Cam" and his "mutts" returning for yet another adventure. Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.
